Από αύριο 8/7 και ως την Τετάρτη 13/7 το γραφείο θα είναι κλειστό, καθώς θα βρίσκομαι στην Κωνσταντινούπολη (για πρώτη φορά, αν και ο πατέρας μου γεννήθηκε εκεί!).
Βόλτες, περπάτημα, ψώνια στα παζάρια, τα γνωστά και άγνωστα αξιοθέατα, αλλά και συμμετοχή με εισήγηση στο Διεθνές Συνέδριο Πολιτικής Ψυχολογίας, που διοργανώνεται από το Πανεπιστήμιο Bilgi, και την Διεθνή Εταιρεία Πολιτικής Ψυχολογίας.
Θα συμμετέχω σε στρογγυλό τραπέζι που διοργανώνεται από τον τομέα κοινωνικής ψυχολογίας του τμήματος ψυχολογίας του ΑΠΘ, με θέμα: “Political Discourses in the Context of the Greek crisis”.
Η δική μου εισήγηση, με τίτλο “Social Recognition in a State in Crisis: what future for the 2nd Generation?” αφορά το θέμα του διδακτορικού μου, την 2η γενιά μεταναστ(ρι)ών στην Ελλάδα, και πως η κρίση που προκαλεί χειρότερες εργασιακές συνθήκες, επηρεάζει τα άτομα.

In the years after the Greek elections of 2009, there have been two shifts in the state discourse and legislation of interest to political psychology. Firstly, due to civil society pressure, legislation was introduced for the attribution of civil rights of non-E.U. long-term residents and their offspring. Lately though, due to the Greek fiscal crisis, the same government’s state officials have performed another shift in their public discourse, promoting the introduction of a more conservative legislative regime regarding migration and integration control. In the context of those recent changes in the integration policies, I will focus on the second generation immigrants in Greece, in an attempt to explore their constructions of social identity as articulated on interview data on their integration path. Through a reflexive juxtaposition of theories on intersubjective recognition (Honneth, 1996; Dejours, 2003) and on implicit politics (Papadopoulos et al., 2008), I will try to analyze how the informants use language in action to account for and evaluate their work(s) and their lives, performing identity constructions in the discursive space/time of the interview discussion. The discourse of the informants will be theorized as a political attribution of value to their actions as agents performing implicit politics aiming at recognition, in the ever-changing migration/integration/labor regime of the Greek state.
